About us

A wireless-energy company.

We develop technologies and products that capture the energy already around us and turn it into electricity to power devices — reducing the dependence on cables and batteries, and changing the way devices are designed and used.

Founded in 2018, Antiwire has a technology validated at industrial scale and protected by intellectual property in several countries, and offers the KIWI chip family to the companies building the products of the future.

Antiwire — Wireless energy for all devices Watch on YouTube
Mission

Free humanity from cables and batteries.

Vision

To be the global standard in wireless energy for small devices.

Our thesis

The constraint

The era of small devices is already here.
And with it, an energy problem.

Watches, bands, earbuds, glasses, sensors, tags, cameras, mice, keyboards — billions of them, and no going back. They all still depend on a battery and a cable, and that is what holds back their design and stops full mobility at scale.

01

125 billion devices

Connected devices are expected to reach 125 billion globally by 2033. Every one of them needs power that never runs out.

02

The battery is a design problem

The battery sets the size, the shape, the weight and the lifespan of the product — and adds a hatch, a charging port and a replacement schedule. At this scale, it also becomes an impossible maintenance cost.

03

The cable is a design problem too

Cables decide where a device is allowed to exist. Good design cannot start from the nearest outlet.

The answer

Energy that is already there.

Machines generate electromagnetic fields. Spaces are lit. Objects are in motion. We are surrounded by energy that, until now, has barely been used to power electronic devices.

We believe the next generation of devices will be powered by harnessing the energy available all around us.

So we developed technologies and chips that capture, convert and reuse that energy — making it possible to build devices that run without cables, without chargers, without frequent battery changes and, in many applications, without any battery at all.

Milestones

  1. IBBX is founded to solve a problem that had no solution — with a new equation for the electromagnetic near field. First patents filed.
  2. The measurement method is published at IEEE ARGENCON and IEEE EMC Europe. First rights granted.
  3. Proof at industrial scale, solving real problems: thousands of self-powered devices at 100+ companies, plus self-powered public lighting on poles, highways and tunnels.
  4. From a board to a component: KIWI ONE, a 10 × 10 × 3 mm part that takes the place of the voltage regulator.
  5. Antiwire becomes a pure technology company: we no longer run operations — we develop technology. The chip, the licence and the R&D core remain.
  6. Onto monolithic silicon, with higher power envelopes and the next KIWI generations.
